GSN Game Show Network Facts

1. GSN, the Game Show Network, launched in 1994 on December 1. On their first day on the air, the channel aired episodes of every classic game show in their library.

2. GSN, the Game Show Network, is the only network devoted almost exclusively to game show programming. Other channels air game shows, but these guys have the only channel devoted exclusively to this niche. They changed their name from The Game Show Network to GSN in 2004.

3. Some of the classic game shows featured on GSN, the Game Show Network, include To Tell The Truth, Hollywood Squares, Family Feud, Let's Make A Deal, and The Newlywed Game.

4. The first hour-long game show to be featured on GSN, the Game Show Network, was a tv show called Greed.  The show was formerly owned by and shown on Fox.

5. GSN, the Game Show Network, expanded the types of shows they were airing a few years ago to include casino related programming and poker shows, like The World Series of Blackjack and High Stakes Poker. They also showed some reality programming. But their efforts to expand their niche have met with middling success, and they seem to be focusing more and more on their traditional classic game show programming now
