The World Series of Blackjack is a televised blackjack tournament produced by GSN, which is also known as the Game Show Network. During the first season, several notable gambling figures participated in the 7 episodes, including:

At the time of this writing, The World Series of Blackjack has been picked up for a second season by GSN, and this time the contestants for the show are being selected by a series of preliminary qualifying tournaments.

1. The World Series of Blackjack is a televised blackjack tournament and game show from GSN, which was formerly known as the Game Show Network.

2. The World Series of Blackjack has had 4 seasons to date, but information about a season 5 in 2008 is scarce. I've heard rumors that the show might not return in 2008, although they'll surely show reruns from time to time.

3. The winners of the first four seasons of the Word Series of Blackjack were Mike Aponte, Ken Einiger, Jeff Bernstein, and Alice Walker.

4. The World Series of Blackjack prize pool gradually increased throughout the run of the show. In the first season, they paid the winner $100k. In the second season, they paid the winner $250k. And in seasons 3 and 4, they paid out $500k to the winners.

5. The competitors in the World Series of Blackjack were a combination of famous (or semi-famous) blackjack celebrities and card counters. Some of the notable blackjack players who competed include Michael Konik, Hollywood Dave Stann, Micky Rosa, Ken Smith, Kevin Blackwood, and Stanford Wong.
